STARFISH RED

LASplash was nice enough to let me pick a few products to try out. I choose a yellow mascara, a yellow eyeliner and this gorgeous raspberry red gloss. The liner and mascara review can be seen in the eye section of our reviews.

The picture above is from the LA Splash website. All pictures below were taken by me.
Their swatch (above) looks more plum than the actual product in person. This was a little disappointing, but the color is still gorgeous.
This gloss is and "Intense" finish according to their website. This means that there is glitter, high shine, as well as a big impact of color.
"Bold, Vibrant and Intense! This collection was created using our innovative highly pigmented long-wearing formula. These bold colors are the ultimate must-have product for the stage, a performance or a night on the town! "
"Choose from a vast spectrum of colors and you’ll be the talk of the town every day! Apply to lips for excellent shimmer and color. Want a bolder look? Add glitter or shimmer over gloss. "
One thing I absolutely love about LA Splash is their price point. This gloss is super affordable at only $6.99 for 9 ml.

This gloss looks great applied very thin as a stain and looks great applied thinly. The staying power is great and the color is pretty. Applied thick, I don't care for this gloss too much. Although it looks pretty in photos, the gloss is not very practical to wear thick.
When applied thick, this glosses strong points seem to be overshadowed. When thick, this gloss runs. I found it seeping all around my mouth and onto my teeth and tongue. Also, the pigmentation seems to become very uneven when applied thick. Unfortunately, the only time i saw the amazing sparkles in this gloss was when i layed it on thick.
This gloss has a "candy cherry" scent, almost like cherry licorice which i highly enjoyed, but may be too strong for many people. You can taste it when you inhale, so there is no escaping it. (Not like cherry twizzlers, but like "old fashion" licorice)
The applicator is a slanted doe foot, and is very easy to apply.
