Brush roll (opened)
Not only did this great set come with every brush you need to do the perfect eyeshadow look, but came with a GREAT brush roll/tote to make it easy to bring these with you anywhere! This roll pictured above has a slot for each brush (plus two extra ones) a plastic cover to go over the brush heads to protect them and a zipper pouch on the side to store some shadows, q-tips, makeup remover etc. I did not own a case like this prior to this post, so I am stoked about it and love how the kit includes the case and it isn't just the brushes in the box. And wait till you get to the price at the bottom of this post, because it's even makes me more excited to recommend this to you girls!

Brush roll (rolled up) Small and portable!
I have been using these brushes for while now and love love love them! I actually didn't get any shedding from the eye brushes which was unexpected but a plus. With the powder brush I had only like 4 hairs fall out and after that I didn't notice anymore shedding.
The brushed really pack on color and make it easier to apply with less fallout. Also, I like that these brushes come with a medium size handle so its not to long that it's uncomfortable to control and not to short where your fingers get in the way of seeing your eye in the mirror (if that makes sense haha).
They brushes used to apply powder are extremely soft and the brushes used for cream shadow and defining are more sturdy to make application easy when dealing with non-powder shadows/makeup. I have been reaching for these brushes over my others now just because of the quality and how they are organized in the case, it's just more practicle and I love the results!

Even the most expensive makeup can look lousy if you don't have the right tools to work with.
That being said,  whats in your arsenal?
And even more importantly... did you have to empty your wallet in order to fill your brush roll?
We were recently each sent a full sized brush, a travel kit, and body butter by SPAsource. They are a really cool , and extremely budget friendly company from Canada.
"Professional top-quality cosmetic brushes for precise makeup application and flawless results. Use daily to blend, define and enhance your features. Incredible, affordable prices allow you to spend more on your makeup then tools! "
I love this little quote I found on their website.
Enjoy - be creative - be beautiful!
The single brush I received is their PRO-SERIES POWDER brush. It is a full size handle brush, and is a complete steal at only $13

"Made from premium high-grade natural hair. Lush soft bristles are constructed in a unique torch shape to maximize the even application and blending of loose or pressed powders for a flawless finish."
The kit I recieved is the PRO-SERIES ON-THE-GO FACE ESSENTIALS. And (insert drumroll) is ONLY $15.00.
It comes with 5 short handle brushes and a brush roll to carry them all in. That is $3 a brush and you get a free brush roll. This is great for bringing the essencials away for the weekend, or keeping in your purse for touch ups on the go.
" The compact tote keeps all the tools in one organized place for use anytime, anywhere.  Tote made with easy-to-clean material to keep tote and brushes neat and protected.  "
In this cute brush roll is "all the tools needed to apply, blend, contour and conceal. "

Multi-use Powder Brush mini: use with pressed or loose powder, bronzer, blush and shimmer.

Foundation Brush mini: use to apply liquid or cream foundations and concealers to refresh end of day make up and/or for quick spot touch ups.

Angled Eye Shadow Brush: use to define, contour and blend color.

CREASE BLENDER BRUSH: use with contrasting eye shadow colors to add depth and detail to the eyes natural crease.

LINER & BROW DEFINER:
use to line eyes with shadows or gel liners and to fill out, shape and define eyebrows
Overall, these brushes are amazing quality for the price. They apply makeup evenly and leave a good blended finish. The are easy to clean and the hairs don't stain. I would really recommend these brushes to anyone, especially if you are on a budget. The can be purchased on their website  and even at some Walmart stores.

I was at Target the other day wandering around the cosmetic section, as usual and stopped to try and find some more of those E.L.F. brushes that were pink and sparkly but couldn't find any. I was so bummed out but then was checking out the Studio Line from them and was so impressed with their brushes (and price! $3 each! ) That I picked up a few of them.

Powder Brush

The first one I grabbed was the "Powder Brush"with the flat top. I looveee stippling brushes because of the flat surface and the way it evenly applies highlights and bronzers. This Taklon brush is more dense and doesn't have the duo fibers so it grabs more product and is good for applying all over face powder.
Not only that this brush is great for powder, it can be used with wet or dry products! Liquid OR powder foundation, blush and so on. For powder: dip the brush into powder and tap off the excess start near the hairline and work inward so you don't apply to much. For liquid: I would pour some onto the back of my hand and gently tap the brush in it and lightly go around the face spreading it evenly and then buff into the skin for a flawless look. These were so soft and great quality I bought two!

Fan Brush

This is the first "Fan Brush" I have ever bought or even ever used!! I never really knew what to use them for since I had brushes for highlighting and such. But since I discovered this bad boy for $3, I had to give it a try.
The unique shape of this brush 'blends away makeup mistakes and dusts, wipes and contours powders'. I have been using it to put a light application of blush on or highlight a smaller area of my upper cheek. I noticed this brush gives a more natural look and doesn't ever apply to much product for an overdone look. Wish I had gotten it sooner!

Eyeshadow C Brush

Pictured above is the last brush I picked up, the "Eyeshadow C Brush". As the others mention above, this can be used with wet or dry products as well. This brush I find is good to pack on color and is the perfect size to blend colors together.
"Dip brush into product and apply to the eye. To create the smokey eye, apply the brush tip on the outward corner of the eye by pressing the color in a C shape from the lash line up. Flip the C on the right eye so it creates and outward curve. Blend color inward for definition"
That's whats written on the back of the packaging and to me that seems kind of confusing, so I plan on using this to pack on vibrant colors because it's a good amount of density and picks up product easily.

Tell me in a comment if you have ever used E.L.F.'s $1 or $3 brushes and what you think of them!

I'm going to start this review off with telling you that your makeup is only as good as the brushes you use. Because it's 100% true. Crappy brushes = crappy application and irritation if they are not soft. I think you can NEVER have to many brushes. I use a lot of different colors all the time whether it be eyeshadow, blush, bronzer or lip colors, so I get tired of cleaning them all the time, so I stock up on a few of each brushes. But then what happens? They take up way to much space on my desk and looks cluttered.  Klix contacted us and wanted us to try out their brush set. I was very interested in hearing about these and trying them out because the concept is GREAT. I wasn't sure how they would be quality wise,  so when they arrived I was sure to test them out right away and have used them for a few days now.
Let me explain this awesomeness to you guys. "Klix Make UP Brushes with replaceable heads ensure flawless make up application along with protection from blemish causing bacteria. The brush heads can be replaced with the click of a button. Make up brushes harbor bacteria, oils and make up residue that can cause blemishes and skin infections if not properly cleaned. According to a recent survey."  So literally there is a button on the end of the brush you push and the top pops off and you can pop on a new top and easily switch between colors, while also avoiding bacteria buildup and getting pimples!  How genius is that?

The recyclable (cruelty free) brush heads are made out of EXTREMELY soft, synthetic bristles, which makes it easy to see when they need to be replaced. These brushes evenly applied my makeup and gave a real natural look to my makeup and I found myself just dusting the bristles all over my face because of how soft they were. I even showed my sister and she tried taking them from me!
Also, what I love most about these is the convenience of traveling with these. All you need to do is bring one handle and any of the tops you want for the powder & the blush brush because they fit on the same handle, so it makes it super easy and saves space! Again, I wish I had these a long time ago!
The only small downfall I could find with these is that the concealer brush head doesn't fit on the other handles, so you would need to bring that handle with you as well. It'd be super if they all fit on one size handle. But that's the only thing I could find that was a bummer. Other than that these are a STAPLE in my brush collection now. The softness and the way it applies my makeup is better than any other brushes I have used. The softness will amaze you!

Please check out their collection. It includes three professionally designed make up brushes: a Foundation / Concealer Brush, a Blush Brush and Powder Brush. The retail price of the collection is $59.95. Replacement brush heads for each product in the line consists of a set of two brush heads. The Foundation brush set is priced at $9.95; the Blush Brush retails for $10.95; the Powder Brush is priced at $11.95. The line also includes a set of two Kabuki Brushes that retail for $19.95.

I mean, come on.... who has the time to clean their makeup brushes every day? Not me! That's for sure! I have a super busy life, as I'm sure you do too! With Klix brushes you just click and go.

These brushes have a high quality black plastic handle equipped with super cool spring action! When your disposable white synthetic hair top gets yucky, you just push the button, and all the makeup, dirt and germs get launched off! Just click on a new brush head, and resume your application!

"Klix is a smart new line of cosmetic brushes that offers the FIRST makeup brush that you NEVER have to clean. Klix replaceable, recyclable makeup brush heads are made from cruelty free white hair that allows you to easily see when a replacement is needed."

I am super excited about these brushes. I cant wait to bring them to a shoot or show where i need to do more than one model. I wont need to waste precious time cleaning brushes, and nobody will have to worry about contamination! These are a must have for every makeup artists kits.

I find that I can clean these, and they stay together fairly well, so you can wash them when its convenient for you, and switch out the tops when you don't have the time. But since these bristles were made to be disposed, they stain, which is no problem for me, but may be a concern for you.

AND GIRLS!!!! DON'T THROW THE DIRTY ONES IN THE TRASH! PLACE THEM IN YOUR RECYCLING BIN. Help our beautiful earth stay beautiful while keeping your skin looking beautiful.
