So the majority of the time, when its like 90 degrees and up you don't want to bother putting on any makeup because it will just end up melting off right? Well, not always. We have some tricks that may help your makeup last a little longer in the summer heat!
Start by using a base for all products you plan to use. A primer for your foundation (and try Revlon Colorstay Foundation, that product STAYS PUT!), liquid blush under your powder blush, a primer for your shadow and color your lips in with a liner first then apply lipstick or lip gloss. That should already help your makeup stay a longer than it would before. Make sure you use waterproof mascara (We have a review on the website for Urban Decay "Cannonball" mascara http://beautymarksthespotreviews.weebly.com/2/post/2011/07/cannonball.html) because if your sweating or in the pool, you dont want your mascara to run! Also waterproof eyeliner will hold out a little longer too (and dab black eyeshadow over it to help it stay put) Lastly, if you don't want to wear a heavy foundation and just want a little coverage for the hot weather, I suggest using a tinted moistureizer with SPF in it to protect your skin :) -Dianna Sure, strawberries are a very yummy fruit, perfect for summer, but if you have a few extra ones put them to good use for your face! Your skin will thank you later! Strawberries clear up acne and oiliness, make skin younger and smoother, reduce under-eye puffiness and so much more! They also have alpha-hydroxy acid, that helps get rid of dead skin cells that rest on the top layer of your skin. Here's what you do: Step 1: Crush up 3-4 strawberries in a bowl, until there aren't to many chunks Step 2: Add enough cornstarch to your strawberries to make it into a thick paste (add it a little at a time so you don't end up wit to much) Step 4: Mix the two together and apply to your face (avoiding eye area) Step 5: Leave on your face for 10-15 minutes and allow it to dry on your face for a bit (and take a picture of yourself looking silly!) Finally, Rinse off your skin with cool water and pat dry! <3 Share your photos of you with your mask on! Why not save more money while shopping online? :D
It's great to use for all those beauty companies that are online that have sales plus you get a certain percent cash back! You can also try n look up free shipping codes! Great $$$ saving tip! Most women I make up comment on the coverage of the makeup being "amazing" even if all I used was a tinted moisturizer. What's my trick to a flawless face without five pounds of full coverage foundation? A good concealer!
Women's hormones naturally increase the redness around their nostrils, lip and chin area. Just a quick dab of a full coverage concealer, and your one step closer to looking perfect. What do I recommend? Laura Geller "The real deal" concealer $20 for 0.70 oz and is available at Ulta, Sephora, Macys, as well as online. ~Alyx What colors suit my eyes?Being a makeup artist and addict, I have seen and toyed around with many an eye color in my days... People always ask me what colors suit their eye color and I always cringe a little. Although very true that certain shadow and liner colors look better on some eyes than other, I believe that makeup is one of those things that is preference based. If you have green eyes and you like green shadow...GO FOR IT! Brown eyes and pink shadow? GO FOR IT! But if we break out the color wheel and think about this in a scientific way what works best?
COLORS THAT MAKE BLUE EYES POP: gold, pink, peach, grey COLORS THAT MAKE GREEN EYES POP: lavender, plumb, mauve, golds *TIP* Think opposites attract... red based colors will work best COLORS THAT MAKE BROWN EYES POP: purples, golds, steel blues, pewter, deep greens And as always girls... a black liner and black mascara will make any color, shape or sized eye stand out in a crowd! ~Alyx Tired of having to reapply lipstick all the time? Or have it wear off in the middle of your lips?! Then give this a try! Just like eyeshadow, you should use a base to give it something to grip onto. Fill your lips in completely with a lip liner then apply your lipstick. This also works great with lip gloss to because gloss is known to come off quickly without a base or something to stick to! Do you have oily eyelids or shadows that crease all the time and ruin your sexy eyeshadow look? Here's a tip that may help you.
Before applying any eyeshadow to your lid, put on a dab of Too Faced Shadow Insurance ($18 at Ulta)! This product helps the staying power of your shadow and prevents creases! Also you can use NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk or any other color you prefer as a base to hold the shadow in place and give it a more pigmented look! -Dianna |
